This document is addressed to individuals who receive or use any website, product or service (collectively, our “Services”) of GlobeEye SAS (GE). This document addresses how GE is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the rights and obligations imposed by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
Our updated privacy policy reflects our commitment to keeping customer personal data secure and confidential. It also seeks to inform our customers of the personal data we hold and how we use that personal data in accordance with our GDPR obligations.
GE provides analytics solutions for investment professionals. The primary purpose of GE’s Services is to provide a dynamic research resource that helps investment professionals make better-informed investment decisions. We want you to feel secure when visiting our site and using our Services and we are committed to maintaining your personally-identifiable information (PII), being any information that is capable of identifying you as an individual person, secure as you use our Services.
We use third parties to assist with the provision of our Services. These third parties have their own GDPR policies in place for protecting and maintaining your PII. Please contact our Privacy and GDPR Information Officer (contact details set out below) for information regarding these approved third parties (“Approved Third Parties”).
Your personal information
GE collect personal information about you from your interactions with us and from certain third parties and other sources (such as your employer or the subscriber providing you with access to our Services). These interactions include, for example, your purchase or use our Services, a registration for a demonstration, any request for information or any call to us for support. (Please note that we may record or monitor your telephone calls for compliance and quality assurance purposes.) These interactions occur through your receipt or use of our Services on your system or device . GE logs such use and our technologies automatically collect system/device and usage information, such as your IP address via Google Analytics, your browsing patterns, click data and HTTP protocol elements. This information helps us to administer, protect and improve our Services, analyse usage and improve customer experience. Cookies are not utilised.
GE may use your PII to fulfil your requests for information, distribute newsletters and alerts to you, and for such other purposes as you may initiate or request. We may keep any of your PII on file and use it to contact you. By submitting PII, you consent to GE’s use of such PII as described herein.
GE shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) PII to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of GE or Approved Third Parties) without your consent, whether for such third parties’ marketing purposes or otherwise.
Sources of personal information
The type of personal information we collect depends on how you are interacting with us and which Services you are receiving or using. In many cases, you can choose whether or not to provide us with personal information, but if you choose not to, you may not get full functionality from the Services.
You may visit the www.globeeye.eu website and browse without having to provide personal information. During your visit to the website, you remain anonymous and at no time can we identify you unless you provide us with any personal information, or have previously provided us with personal information.
GE email and requests for information: The personal information we collect consists of name and contact data, such as first and last name, email address, phone number, organisation name and other similar contact data.
By registering for GE email or submitting a request for more information, you agree to receive on occasion other correspondence from GE related to the subscribed/requested insights and other GE news and information. This type of information is shared externally only in anonymous, aggregated form for generalised user analysis. You will be contacted by e-mail or otherwise only by GE.
GE user data: The personal information consists of account credentials, such as passwords and other security information for authentication and access to the Services. It may also consist of any user content provided by you, such as communications and files provided by you in relation to your use of the Services
We ask for your e-mail address at registration. We will send e-mails to this address to confirm your registration, to provide insights, newsletters or alerts, and to contact you for any other reason. In addition, we may contact you regarding your account status. If you sign up to receive any of our insights, you may on occasion receive other correspondence from GE. Your e-mail address will not be shared with any third party other than an email service provider GE engages to send e-mails. You may unsubscribe from this communication at any time.
How we share personal information
We share personal information within GE, with Approved Third Party service providers, with the person providing for your access to our Services (if that is not you) and in accordance with applicable law. Our Approved Third Party service providers are not permitted to share or use personal information we make available to them for any purpose other than to provide services to us.
Surveys
If you participate in a GE survey, all of our research results are reported as totals or in other aggregated form. Information about you as an individual respondent is not made public
Link to third-party sites
GE may provide links to third-party websites or other third party information as a service to our users. If you use these links, you will leave the GE website. Such links do not constitute or imply an endorsement, sponsorship or recommendation by GE of the third party, the third party”s website, or any of the information contained therein and GE shall not be responsible or liable for your use thereof. Such use shall be subject to the terms of use and privacy policies applicable to those sites
Security
GE takes the security of personal information seriously and we use appropriate technologies and procedures to protect personal information (including administrative, technical and physical safeguards) according to the risk level and the service provided.
GE has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect PII from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorised GE and partner personnel are provided access to PII, and these employees and Approved Third Parties are required to treat this information as confidential. While GE takes these precautions, it is not able to guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your PII.
How long we keep personal information
GE has a Privacy Officer to implement policies and rules relating to the retention of personal information.
- we calculate retention periods for your personal information in accordance with the following criteria:
- the length of time necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for;
- when you or your employer (or other subscriber providing you with access to our Services) cease to use our Services;
- the length of time it is reasonable to keep records to demonstrate that we have fulfilled our duties and obligations;
- any limitation periods within which claims might be made; and
- any retention periods prescribed by law or recommended by regulators, professional bodies or associations.
Your rights
You may have rights under European and other laws to have access to your personal information and to ask us to rectify, erase and restrict use of, your personal information. You may also have rights to object to your personal information being used, to ask for the transfer of personal information you have made available to us and to withdraw consent to the use of your personal information.
In response to a request, we may ask you to verify your identity if we need to, and to provide information that helps us to understand your request better. If we do not comply with your request, whether in whole or in part, we will explain why.

By using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your information by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere onour website. This Privacy Policy is subject to change from time to time. We will post Privacy Policy changes and, if they are significant in nature, we will email notice of such changes.
